Independent expert for the Design, Build, Operate, and Transfer (DBOT) of the Nairobi Expressway
Detailed description of project
The Project involves the construction of a dual carriage way of 27.1km constructed at-grade (18.2km) and as an elevated highway for the remaining section. The dual carriageway will be 4 lane carriageway from Mlolongo to Eastern Bypass Interchange, 6 lane carriageway from Eastern Bypass Interchange to Southern Bypass Interchange, and 4 lane carriageway for the remaining section of road from Southern Bypass Interchange to James Gichuru. The Expressway is a Toll Road and will have 10 Interchanges constructed to serve as entry and exit points to on and o the Nairobi Expressway.
The entry and exit locations will be equipped by toll plazas for payment of tolls. With the objective being to provide consultancy services as Independent Expert for the Nairobi Expressway Project to be developed on DBOT basis.
The project also involved design and construction supervision of office buildings and related infrastructure for the project.
